About the Presentation
This CEU will take participants through the different types of light spectrum control, the color tuning abilities of tunable white fixtures, and design challenges. The presentation will address how to reduce risk and meet client’s sequence of operations requirements on color tuning projects
Presentation Learning objectives:
- Describe the fundamental categories of spectrum control with LEDs.
- Analyze the color tuning features of tunable white fixtures.
- Identify challenges with tunable white.
- Evaluate the feasibility of meeting a sequence of operations with various fixture types.
About Our Speaker
Jim Yorgey, PE, LC, Technical Applications Manger, Lutron
Jim Yorgey, joined Lutron Electronics Co., Inc. in 1972 and has held positions in quality control, engineering, marketing, and sales.
Jim’s current role as System Sales Engineer, provides technical support to sales teams specifiers and contractors in the mid-Atlantic region on the design and installation of lighting, lighting controls, and window treatments.
Jim is a member of I.E.E.E., IES, INFOCOMM and NSPE. He has served on IES committees and the ASHRAE/IESNA 90.1 Committee. He is past-chair of the National Lighting Bureau.
Jim has a Bachelor of Engineering Technology Degree from Penn State, is a registered Engineer (PE) in Pennsylvania and is lighting certified (LC).
