About the Presentation
This month’s AIA presentation has the following learning objectives:
- Understand the basis of human centric lighting and how lighting in offices affects the well-being of people.
- Learn about the trends in working styles and office environments.
- Understand what constitutes the “Best Light for Offices”, going beyond the light fixture to the needs and preferences of people.
- Learn about the concepts of “Right Light in Time”, “Right Light for Task” and “Right Light for You” – an ecosystem approach to human centric lighting.
About Our Speaker
Wolfgang F. Egger, Executive Vice President, Zumtobel Lighting, Inc.
Wolfgang is currently in charge of the Zumtobel Group‘s International Project team in the US, supporting US lighting designers, architects and engineers with specifications for projects outside the United States, primarily Middle East, Asia, Europe and South America.
He has been with the Zumtobel group since 1979, starting at Zumtobel’s headquarters in Dornbirn, Austria, heading the company‘s research and development team as well as the applications department.
He has been in the US since 1990 and has held several executive roles in Zumtobel’s North American operation in Marketing and Sales and was CEO of the company from 2000 to 2008.
Wolfgang is a graduate of the Technical University of Vienna where he holds a Doctorate in Technical Physics.
